A Note From a Proud NHS Mom

  • December 7, 2012

To Principal Will Bishop, Coach Keith Maloof and the NHS community -

Last night my mother-in-law gave me the attached copy of a letter to the editor that was published in the Gwinnett Daily Post on Wednesday.

As a Norcross High School parent, I am bursting with pride and cannot be more grateful that my children are attending NHS.

The emphasis on character that you and all of your colleagues instill in our kids knows no bounds. Beyond the classroom, NHS faculty and staff care deeply about developing our children into good people, and I can never thank you enough.

Last night as I was watering the plants in the new courtyard, the whole school was buzzing with activity – from Gina’s cast and crew in A Christmas Carol, to Doug and Lee’s band rehearsal, to athletes exiting practice, I felt an energy and enthusiasm unmatched.

I loved my own high school years, but I think I’m enjoying my kids’ high school experiences even more.

You’ll never know how grateful we are to be Blue Devil parents.  “Thank you” doesn’t say enough.  I know other NHS parents join me in congratulating the WHOLE team, not just in winning on the field, but winning in life.

I second that emotion. Growing up my husband and I did not have a good high school experience, so we really enjoy being around the NHS students. Thanks for letting us tag along. By the way, Camden County was probably the best away game we ever been to.
