Peachtree Corners Rotary Club Participates in Gwinnett Great Days of Service

  • October 8, 2012

Members of the Peachtree Corners Rotary Club participated with others in Gwinnett Great Days of Service on October 6, 2012.

Club members visited Lilburn Middle School and worked with school administrators, teachers, students, and school family members in beautifying school grounds.

Volunteers planted day lillies in the school courtyard, hydrangeas in the school's student and staff maintained "Peace Garden," and cleaned and dressed up the front entrance to the school.

For the Rotary Club members, it was especially heartwarming to volunteer with the young people who attend Lilburn Middle School and their principal, Dr. Gene Taylor.

Says volunteer and Club member Mike Sweigart, "The Peachtree Corners Rotary Club has a long history of service to the public.  Each time we head out to conduct a service project, our Club's volunteer spirit is renewed by the emotion and dedication of those the Clubs helps.  The students at Lilburn Middle School are fantastic and serve as confirmation that our future is secure."

The Peachtree Corners Rotary Club aims to "bring together business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world."

For more information about joining and/or attending please email Membership Chairman Sam Evans (sam@goldenyearsadvisory.com) or President Jim Blum (jim@jimblumlaw.com).
