Technology Donation Drive Will Benefit Local Senior Citizens

Looking for a way to clear out your older computers, smart phones and other technology devices? Here's a great way to do that and help others at the same time! Bluehair Technology Group will hold a Technology Donation Drive on December 28, 2012, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Crabapple Senior Center, 12624 Broadwell Rd. (In the Crabapple Government Center), Alpharetta, 30004.

Donated items will furnish local senior centers with working electronics that enable their members to learn how to use technology for staying in touch with their family and friends and for knowledge and fun.

Items needed: working desktops, laptops, tablets, e-readers, smart phones, flat panel monitors, keyboards and mice. (CRT monitors are not needed, but will be accepted for a $10 fee to cover the cost of special recycling requirements.) Receipts will be given for your tax-deductible donation.

For more information, call Jane Ratliff at (678) 641-1024. Bluehair Technology Group (www.bluehairtech.org) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate seniors about technology and the tools available to them so that they may connect and communicate with family and friends.
