1. Not registered to vote yet? Today is the last day. You may obtain a Voter's Registration form online at the Georgia Secretary of State's website. Once you have completed the form, it must be printed and hand delivered to the Gwinnett Elections Office which is located at 455 Grayson Highway, Ste. 200, Lawrenceville, 30046, telephone: 678-226-7210.
2. Monday night (Feb. 6) is the final of three Peachtree Corners Candidate Forums hosted by the UPCCA. The candidates for Post 3, Scott Ehrlich, David Proud and Alex Wright will get their chance to introduce themselves and answer questions. The candidates for the at-large Posts of 4, 5 and 6, who have been at the first two forums will also be at the final forum. The event takes place at Christ the King Lutheran Church from 7:30 - 9 p.m.
3. There are three special homestead exemptions available to seniors to save money on their property tax bill. Visit the Gwinnett Tax Commissioner's website to learn more or call 770-822-8800. Applications are available by email or by phone. Exemption applications are due by April 1.
4. The new Peachtree Corners Business Association will hold its first meeting on Feb. 21 at the Peachtree Corners Marriott from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. The PCBA is a networking association, its purpose is to present a unified voice to address city, county, and state government issues affecting Peachtree Corners businesses For more information on this new association, visit the PCBA website.
