Beautiful Cat Needs a Forever Home

Very affectionate, Monty is a gentle giant with a great personality.

WOW!! We are used to seeing beautiful cats who inexplicably show up in high-kill county shelters, but we were particularly taken with this big boy the moment we saw him! His striking appearance first drew us to him: He’s very large, snow white, and with one green eye and one blue eye.

More importantly, however, was our discovering that this “gentle giant” had such a great personality! In the midst of all the chaos of the noisy shelter, Montgomery quietly waited until we got to his cage, and then let us know that he very much wanted affection and wanted so badly for us to get him out of there. And when we picked him up and he wrapped his front legs around our necks…well, as they say, the rest is history.

Monty (as we now call him for short) has lived up to all our expectations. His foster mom says he is a very special cat. He gets along extremely well with the other cats in the home, actually likes dogs, and is a wonderful companion and lap cat.

We also discovered that (as is often the case with cats with two different colored eyes)  Monty is deaf. Who cares? We really don’t notice it, and he doesn’t seem to even realize he is a little different than other cats in this respect.

We are now looking for a great home for this special cat. Are you the lucky person or family who will end up with him?
