A 16-year-old Buford teen has died three days after collapsing during a workout at Buford High School, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Adam Smith, a varsity basketball player, was running during a Sept. 13 preseason workout when he stopped to tell a teacher he was not feeling well. Moments later, Smith collapsed and was transported to Northside Hospital-Forsyth where he died Sunday night (Click here to read the full AJC article).

Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel and Gardens is handling the funeral arrangements, his obituary is posted on the funeral home's website.
