The first Peachtree Corners Art Fest at Berkeley Lake held Oct. 13-14 brought people from surrounding cities to enjoy the fall weather.

And there was plenty of fun and entertainment for the entire family at the two day festival which was held in the City of Berkeley Lake on a site located on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

Festival goers enjoyed shopping for handcrafted artwork, pottery, handmade jewelery and plenty more. And there was pumpkins to paint and plenty of good food.

"I was thrilled by the support from the community both Berkeley Lake and Peachtree Corners," said Jay Lowe, with Peachtree Corners Events, the company that organized the festival. "The event was a wonderful place for fellowship with good old friends and new."

Lowe said an estimated crowd of 5,000 attended the two-day event. The festival, first planned for a site in Peachtree Corners, was moved to Berkeley Lake due to traffic issues. Lowe worked with Berkeley Lake's mayor and City Council to arrange the change in venue.

"I personally want to thank the people of Berkeley Lake, Mayor Salter, the City Council, Tom Rozier, Pat Chapman, Frank Simpson and Beth Amos. If not for them we could have never pulled off this terrific event," said Lowe.
