Georgia Tag Contest Down to Three Designs
Gov. Nathan Deal will make the final call on the new state license plate design Friday.
The Department of Revenue announced the three finalists in the Georgia license plate design contest yesterday.
More than 500 designs were submitted by the public, according to the Georgia Department of Revenue website.
State college and university professors then narrowed the choices to eight designs. The public cast 412,098 on the designs through July 8, said State Revenue Commissioner Doug MacGinnitie in a release yesterday.
The three final looks were presented to Gov. Nathan Deal, who will announce the winning design on Friday (July 15) with the lucky artist in attendance.

My favorite is the tag with the tree and fields and peaches.
