Like to Ask Obama or Romney a Question During the Next Presidential Debate?

Patch is collecting questions, if you have one for the candidates, submit it in the comments section below and it could be asked during the televised Oct. 16 Town Hall Presidential Debate.

If last Wednesday’s presidential debate left you with more questions than answers, here’s your chance for the presidential candidates to address the issues that most matter to you.

The next presidential debate will be a town hall meeting format at Hofstra University in Long Island, where voters will ask President Obama and Mitt Romney about domestic and foreign policy.

Patch is asking you, our readers, to participate by submitting questions for the candidates.

All you have to do is post your question in the comments section below and we’ll send it to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The Commission is partnering with Patch's parent company Aol, along with Google and Yahoo, to take questions from web users across the country.

Don’t wait until Nov. 6 to have a say in this year’s election. Share your thoughts in the comments!

I live in Southwest VA and I have been listening to both Obama and Romney. I am wanting to know what Obama's views are the coal industry in my area. We are a coal state. I do agree with alot of Obama's views, but this one issue I have not heard him comment on. I think to help people of Southwest Va to elect who they think is the best man for the job we need to know Obama's plan for coal. He hasn't mentioned anything about it during the debate or in any other of his speeches. This would help. I am leaning toward Obama, but this issue he really needs to address.

Why doesn't Obama ask Romney how many jobs were lost in the United States when he (Romney) had companies move away from The United States. Did that have an impact on our economy?

One of the major reason for the unemployment rate is because so many jobs have been sent overseas. What do President Obama and Gov Romney plan to do to bring those jobs back.

I live in Colorado Springs, CO. I am a disabled veteran of the Air Force and I currently work for a large defense contractor. I am an unaffiliated voter. I want to know Govener Romney and President Obama's plan to stop sequestration. I especially want to know if they understand the devastating impact this will have on the entire country, not just defense agencies. Does the American public know that if sequestration occurs that 2 million jobs may be lost? Does the American public understand this will not send the United States into a recession, as we are already in one, but a depression? Does the American public understand that if sequestration is not stopped it will make the United States vulnerable to cyber attacks and terrorist attacks and leave us in a situation where we are unable to defend ourselves? Does the American public understand sequestration will also reduce spending on education? Education spending has already been dramatically reduced if sequestration occurs physical education, art, music will be cut meaning more teachers out of work and under educated children...which again puts the United States in a vulnerable state. How will you stop this Mr. President? How will you convince congress to end sequestration Govenor?

Last week the Obama Administration decided not to place into deportation hearings Jose Vargas. An illegal from the Phillipines who has admitted to holding a Fake Passport, Using Fake documents to secure a social security number, and altering a social security card. Falsely representing himself on gov't Tax documents. All of these are felony offenses. Mr. Vargas not only admits to them. He also admits to false addresses to gain drivers license AND even though his was REVOKED he was arrested in MINN for driving with a fraudulently obtained Revoked license.

Does President Obama and Mitt Romney think that such pandering to Latinos in refusing to enforce Federal Immigration Laws against people like Josewho knowingly and repeatedly violate the law is what has forced the GOP to the far right on immigration reform and prevented a dialogue on true reform?

Follow up question would President Obama look into the TV screen and honestly say that if a Federal Law Enforcement agency caught an American Citizen with a Fake Passport, Fraudulent SS Card and multiple fraudulently obtained drivers licenses....that there would be NO PUNISHMENT UNDER THE LAW?

Would Mr. Romney and Mr. Obama sign an Executive Order saying that the children of Victims of Crime at the hands of ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS be granted FREE TUITION courtesy of the Federal Government at the State College of their choice?

Wouldn't that be fair since the Federal Government is responsible for allowing the illegals to be present?
