Popular Mexican Restaurant Reopens in New Location

The former "Los Arcos" restaurant has reopened with a new name - "Kiko's" - and a new address.

One of Peachtree Corners favorite Mexican restaurants closed last month.

Kiko and Olga Delgado, owners of the popular Los Arcos Mexican restaurant shuttered their Peachtree Parkway location in April.

But the good news - the couple have reopened at a new location. The restaurant also bears a new name, Kiko's.

Kiko's opened on Saturday just in time to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Though the name and address has changed, "the soul of the place is still here," said Olga Delgado.

The walls are decorated with memorabilia from the old location and regular diners will be pleased to know that their favorite menu items are still served.

Kiko's seats about 70, plus seating for 10 at the bar, which is smaller than its former restaurant's accommodations but there are plans to expand.

The Delgados have already spoken with owner of the building about building a deck on the side of the restaurant which will add about 30 seats. "It's a priority for us," said Delgado.

Before shutting the doors to Los Arcos, the Delgados spread the word that they would be opening again nearby. It seems their customers waited patiently for the day when they could return. "We're seeing old faces and new faces - and repeat business, that's even better," observed Delgado.

Kiko Delgado is an old hand at the restaurant business. He and his wife opened their first Los Arcos 25 years ago on Jimmy Carter Boulevard then operated for the past 17 years at the Peachtree Parkway location.

The new restaurant opened with great fanfare including a ribbon-cutting ceremony that included Peachtree Corners new mayor, Mike Mason, his wife Debbie, Gwinnett County District 2 Commissioner, Lynette Howard and scores of friends, family and customers.

The Delgados said they're planning on expanding their business to include catering and delivery.

Kiko's is located at 3435 Medlock Bridge Road in Peachtree Corners. By the way, word is that it's the mayor's favorite place to eat so don't be surprised one evening if you see him and his wife enjoying a burrito or two.

I can't believe this place can not only stay in business but actually draws a crowd. This is without a doubt one of the worst "Mexican" restaurants I have ever dined. I ordered fish tacos and was given a flour tortilla with a fish stick inside.

I was a regular at Los Arcos for years, and look forward to being a regular at Kikos. Great food, a friendly family atmosphere and active involved owners. Congratulations to Olga and Kiko!

Los Arco was the "Cheers" of Peachtree Corners and will continue to hold that spot as Kiko's. A new location will not comromise the great food with some new items added and the warmth of family that you feel when you are there. This is something that is needed at some of our other PC restaurants. Here they always "know your name" and welcome you with a hug!

I don't think Mary has ever been to either Los Arcos or the new Kiko's. Her description of the Fish Taco's is not what they serve. They use double Corn Tortilla's with grilled Tilipia for the Fish. I would hope that she soon visits and enjoy's the real Grilled Tilipia Fish Taco's soon. They really are great.

I loved Los Arcos since I love their chips and salsa. Also, their service is always great,. I'm a vegetarian and they were always willing to substitute mushrooms or other veges for the beef/ chicken free of charge and so I was so sad to see them close. I was shocked they closed since they were always so busy and all my coworkers rave about them too. Then one day I over heard a lawyer in the Thai resturant (also very good) next to their closed location saying Los Arcos was reopening around the corner nearby so i searched and searched. I saw Kiko's when it was renovating and was disappointed when I saw the sign finally and it said Kiko's and not Los Arcos thinking it was a different restaurant. I didn't even bother going to try Kiko's and just kept searching - then finally I found this article online. Thank you so much for writing it! Now I know where to go again...
