Presidential Race: Which Candidate Do You Pick to Win?
The latest Gallop poll shows registered voters preferred Obama to Romney by just one percentage point. Peachtree Corners voters, Patch wants to know: Who are you betting on?
There are only 52 days until we head to the polls for voters to decide on whether to re-elect President Barak Obama for four more years or chose Republican candidate Mitt Romney as our country's leader.
A lot can change between now and Nov. 6: Gaffes, scandals or even major international news events could shift the dynamics of the campaign.
The latest Gallup Polls show registered voters preferring Obama to Mitt Romney by just one percentage point, 47 percent to 46 percent. A USA Today/Gallup poll taken just before the party conventions found American voters think Obama is more likeable, but trust Romney more to handle the economy.
Pundits have been busy for months handicapping the major-party candidates on various factors: incumbent advantage, fundraising clout, even religion.
Patch wants to know: Regardless of who you support for President, who do you think will actually claim victory in November?
Let us know your reasoning in the comments.

It's a shame that someone doesn't know how to spell our President's name!! Check spelling on your presidential election voting question!!

The decision really is do you want more deficit? Romney says he'll cut taxes without saying what programs he will cut. Besides, who ever said running the government os like running a business? How do you run a business when you have to deal with two departments that can't stand each other, but have to approve whatever you want to do?? No business I know of can run like that!
Obama has at least submitted a budget detailing the cuts he would make. When he is reelected, maybe the Republicans would be more willing to compromise. At least, Senator McConnell won't have to worry about Obama being elected again.

Help me understand what "Budget" Obama is presenting? Best I recall there hasn't been a budget approved in Washington DC since the Democrats took over about 6 years ago! Media said it was Bush's fault since he was President but when Obama took over now it's someone else's fault. It's time to hold the entire bunch in power in Washington responsible for this mess! I'm not comfortable voting for anyone running for re-election to any office! Throw them all out and let's start over! We absolutely need term limits and we need everyone in the system to follow the same laws they pass on us, no budget then no paychecks for congress! We MUST clean this mess up and get back to personal responsibility for everyone.

I think Obama will win again because Romney isn't a good enough candidate. I wish the parties would put up better candidates. I also think it will be a close election.

Seriously, Janell, YOU are one of the reasons things cannot get better. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Perhaps it would behoove you to Google the things Obama has done since in office. It's quite an impressive list that I'm sure most Republicans don't have a clue about. Things are MUCH BETTER than they were 4 years ago, and that is not my opinion, it is a FACT. Check it, if you dare. In fact, things have ALWAYS been better when a democrat holds the office of the presidency; again, not my opinion, but a research able fact. I will not post the links for you, because I'm quite convinced to want to stay in the little hole you've buried yourself in and blame Obama for all of your disappointment in life. No doubt you are part of the 47% that Romney doesn't give a crap about, and that Obama is truly trying to help. But you, and all of your friends that feel as you do (clearly without any fact checking or research, or you wouldn't feel the way you do) will continue to vote for the party that doesn't give a CRAP about you.

@3dog
Kinda like that " blame Bush thing" that just keeps going around like the yearly flu huh?
As to the statement about things always being better with a (Insert Party Here Stance) that all depends on the definition of what "better" is to each person, so its subjective... Some might raise an eyebrow about life under the dems if they rode in a Huey in Southeast Asia.
But until BOTH sides "come out" of their respective, self dug, delusional holes and realize we have to hold our noses and work together it won't change. Just because one likes the right door and another likes the left doesn't mean they won't end up in the SAME unemployment line INSIDE the building.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW GIVING THE MIDDLE CLASS A TAX BREAK WILL HELP. ANY TAX BREAK GIVEN WOULDN'T PAY FOR THE GAS TO GET TO WORK OR BUY ENOUGH GROCERIES FOR A FAMILY OF 4 FOR A MONTH. OBAMA WANTS TO PUSH ALL THESE PROGRAMS ON THE SMALL BUSINESS AND LARGE CORPORATIONS TO PAY FOR HEALTH CARE, BIRTH CONTROL,EPA UPGRADES, ETC.... AND THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT WILL END UP PAYING IS THE MIDDLE CLASS. THEY AREN'T GOING TO ABSORB THE COST, THEY WILL HAVE TO PASS IT ON TO THE CONSUMER AND THAT IS US (THE MIDDLE CLASS). CUTTING THE COST TO BIG BUSINESS SO THEY HIGHER MORE PEOPLE. THESE PEOPLE WILL PAY TAXES, SOCIAL SECURITY, MEDICARE, THEIR OWN HEALTHCARE AND WILL TAKE PEOPLE OFF UNEMPLOYMENT AND FOOD STAMPS LEAVING MORE MONEY TO FLOW THE ECONOMY AND GREAT MORE JOBS.
