Interesting, very interesting..... Wonder where all the "testimony" she was to make about all the other corruption she supposedly was aware of gone to? I would think if she really knew more, which I doubt, then she would just get a hand slap. But if she knew nothing about anything else I’d think the sentencing would be harsher than not.

Reference letter.....Wow. This is a person that worked with drug dealers to bring dangerous drugs to Gwinnett to sell to your kids so she could make a profit. What would/should that letter say about this person. Forget the money end of this and focus on the drugs that she had no idea who would wind up with. She knows they kill and cause deadly crimes yet she would use the position she was elected to so that drug dealers can push their poison to our children. Folks, this is an animal that doesn't deserve a "reference letter". She needs the max. Nothing less would speak to this crime.

Well, I for one am so relieved to know that my fellow citizens of Gwinnett include individuals of such extraordinarily high character and moral superiority as Jim Regan and "lynchsales". And oh, how fortunate we are to have this public forum for such exemplary and unfallible human beings to so eloquently express their righteous indignation and condemnation, including resorting to utterly disparaging characterizations and connotations including "Folks, this is an animal."

While I agree that Ms. Lasseter's actions were grevious and wholly misguided, I do actually admire the fact that she had the guts to admit to her wrongdoing and accept the consequences - an extremely rare occurrence for an elected official. And apparently "lynchsales" has some inside knowledge that I'm not aware of relative to the drug involvement - it was my understanding from published reports that her son and another individual were responsible for that aspect of the case.

What Lasseter did constitutes a blatant betrayal of the public trust, and Shirley Lasseter has ultimately demonstrated that she was not capable of adhering to the standards required of a trustworthy public servant. But she has also demonstrated that she is profoundly sorry and ashamed of her shortcomings.

And she is also not "an animal".

Shame on YOU, "lynchsales".

Well, you sure told me, eh? Besides exhibiting a great deal of misplaced anger, it's obvious that you are much better informed and simply a much better person than I am - not to mention Shirley Lasseter (no, wait - she's an animal) and I suspect pretty much everyone you meet. And speaking of names, perhaps you should change your blog pseudonym from "lynchsales" to "lynchmob" ...

Now, I shall go off and feel real embarrassed.

As long as you go. I don't care what you do when you are gone. Only that you indeed are gone is enough for me.
