Where have I been all these years?! This past summer I stumbled upon Adriana Tragiani! What a great find. My first taste was LUCIA, LUCIA.
Set in New York City during the 50s, Trigiani blends the challenges of being the goal-oriented daughter of Italian immigrants, Lucia's dream of becoming a couture seamstress, and her desire for her own family.
As you can imagine, this Is no easy mix! After all, the war is over; prosperity abounds! Why not for Lucia, too?

Anna- Since you are an aviid reader ( and yes,I have read every one of Tragiani's books) you need to join the Friends of the Gwinnett Public Library. And if you use the PC, Norcross or Duluth branches as your library of choice, then please consider joining the West Gwinnett Chapter of the Friends. Please contact me for more information about our meetings and neat projects we have going.

Since forming in October ,the West Gwinnett Chapter of the Friends has been busy. We won a $1000 grant from the Gwinnett Braves to buy 30-40 bi-lingual books for the Norcross branch. We have a Readin' Round-Up planned on April 25 for library and book lovers. Our next meeting is Monday, March 11.
