Event Benefitting Atlanta’s The Silverton Foundation
Blue Giraffe Sports and The Fabulous Palm Restaurant in Buckhead will host a charity event on Thursday, Sept. 19, to celebrate the culmination of the 2013 professional golf season in Atlanta. Cocktails For The Cup (CFTC) has become a staple in Atlanta’s fall social schedule, while benefiting a different charity each year, through a gathering of Atlanta’s elite and those in the professional golf world. There will also be a silent auction with approximately 80 items between $20 and $1,000. The 2013 CFTC will donate a portion of its proceeds to a deserving local charity through contributions, ticket sales, and outstanding corporate support.
The 2013 beneficiary of CFTC is The Silverton Foundation, a mortgage, rent and short-term housing assistance program that helps families with hospitalized or critically-ill children maintain their homes and reduce their emotional and financial burdens.
“Lexus is proud to help bring this fantastic event to life,” said Tim Bliss, General Manager, Lexus Southern Area. “The event serves a very important purpose: helping to ease the strain on children struggling with illnesses. Lexus has a longstanding commitment to support organizations that build, shape and improve children's lives."
“We look forward to celebrating the end of the golf season in Atlanta with many of our friends, partners, clients and Atlanta’s best at the 2013 Cocktails for the Cup,” said Blue Giraffe Co-Founder Matt Judy. “The Silverton Foundation is a very deserving charity, and we’re extremely pleased that this great event will also help support families and children in need.”
Cocktails For The Cup looks to tie together charity and golf in the Atlanta community by gathering many of the local and national professional players, personalities and support staff who will be in town the week of CFTC. The public is invited to support this worthy cause by purchasing a limited number of tickets, which are available for a short time for $100, by visiting www.cocktailsforthecup.info. Ticket prices include food and drinks. Attire is business casual. For more information, please contact:
