Free Recycling Event at Coolray Field for Gwinnett Residents

Gwinnett residents are invited to load up their unwanted electronics, batteries and tires and bring them to Gwinnett County’s America Recycles Day celebration this Saturday, Nov. 23. 

The Gwinnett County Solid Waste and Recovered Materials Division will offer free recycling of electronics ($10 cash charge for TVs), household batteries and tires from 9 a.m. to noon at Coolray Field, home of the Gwinnett Braves.

 In addition to the recycling opportunities, organizers will offer touch-a-truck displays and activities for kids, free food (while supplies last), giveaways and helpful information about the County’s residential solid waste and recycling program. Residents are encouraged to bring old sneakers to be donated to those in need or recycled intoreusable surfaces for playgrounds and running tracks.
