Invitation: League of Women Voters of Gwinnett - General Members Meeting Saturday, Sep. 14 at 10:00am at Boulevard Diner

League of Women Voters of Gwinnett County present a discourse on “The Unifying Power of Language”, a discussion, followed by a Q and A on how a dominant language in use influences economic, social and political power. Languages have the potential to create and transform our position as citizens within a given society. There are over 119 languages spoken in the State of Georgia with over 69 languages spoken in Gwinnett County homes alone -- within this backdrop of cultural richness and diversity, English remains the language of power.

Please join us at a General Members meeting on Saturday, September 14 from 10:00am to 11:30am to listen, share your thoughts and receive additional information on available language resources within the County.
