The storm that blew through Peachtree Corners Tuesday night left a path of destruction in its wake with downed trees and lost power for a number of homeowners in the area.
Particularly hard hit were the subdivisions of Spalding Corners and Neely Farm. A ride through the two neighborhoods the next day shows some of the damage that the storm created.
While Tuesday night the skies were filled with the crack of thunder, pounding rain and wind whipping through trees, Wednesday morning the sounds were replaced with gas-powered chainsaws and the grind of heavy-duty chippers.
Dump trucks and other heavy equipment filled the streets of the two subdivisions as work crew decended on the neighborhood streets to remove fallen trees.
We took a ride through the two neighborhoods and snapped a few photos of the damage we saw. Did you lose a tree or two to last night's storm?
