Doggie Duo Looking for a Home to Share

Meet Foxy and Wesley, a bonded pair of Lab/Retriever mixed dogs who are looking for and needing a home together.

Foxy is a female, approximately 7 years old, who weighs about 69 pounds, and Wesley, her brother, who is around 8 years old, weighs around 73 pounds.

When they came to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, both were overfed and overweight from an owner who pampered them and over-indulged them, but both have lost weight and are now at very good weights for their breed. 

Foxy and Wesley were raised by a very loving, caring owner who unfortunately had to give them up at Thanksgiving last year due to a very invasive and fast-moving cancer. 

She loved them dearly but could no longer care for them. As she kissed them goodbye and boarded a plane to go to California to say her goodbyes to her human family, she begged Angels to take them and find them a loving home where they could stay together, and we've worked hard to keep our promise and honor her dying wish. 

Upon reaching California, she passed away two days later. Their needs are simple: love, food, warmth, toys and a plastic bucket for Wesley to chase around the yard as his favorite toy. 

Most of all, a loving family who will treasure them as their former owner did, and give them that comfort of once again having a forever home together. 

Wesley is a typical Lab boy who craves attention and interaction from his human. Foxy loves to "talk" to her humans and also adores getting attention and those wonderful scratches around her ears. 

Both dogs are fine to be outside and play but they are also used to being "indoor" dogs when it's time to cuddle up and watch TV or read, or just "be together" for some bonding time. 

Both dogs would do best to be the only canines in the family, and they do not do well around cats. They also need a secure, fenced-in backyard to play in. 

Foxy and Wesley are spayed and neutered, up-to-date on all shots, microchipped, HW negative, house and crate-trained, and ready to go to their forever home.
