Former Norcross High Student Steps Into Limelight

Scott Howard, who was born and raised in Peachtree Corners produced a film shown at a recent Gwinnett Braves game.

Scott Howard, a lifelong Peachtree Corners’ resident, recently created a film video titled “Peachtree Corners - A Remarkable Past, An Innovative Future,” which was featured on the large screen at "Peachtree Corners Night" at the Gwinnett Braves game on Friday, June 7, 2013.   

Howard, a 2005 graduate of Norcross High School, appeared in numerous drama productions with the Norcross Players.  He was awarded two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Georgia College & State University (Theatre Performance; Telecommunications) in 2010 and is currently a candidate for a Master’s Degree in Moving Images/Digital Imaging/Video Production from Georgia State University this December.

In September, 2012, he and two fellow graduate students were honored by United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia, receiving UCP’s Advocacy Award for their creation and production of a public service announcement film, “People First.”

In May, Scott served as Emcee at the GSU Student Film Festival at the High Museum of Art which featured his film, “eDisorder” as one of the 20 jury-selected films to be shown.  

Scott currently works as a graduate assistant at Georgia State University’s Digital Arts Entertainment Lab.
