Make the Season Bright; Send Thanks to Our Troops

Peachtree Corners and Berkeley Lake residents have a chance to send their notes of gratitude. The USO is offering way to send online notes to armed services personnel.

Citizens can show support for our troops by sending words of encouragement and hope on the United Service Organizations’ (USO) “Thanks From Everywhere” website.

Thousands of messages were sent last year to service men and women around the globe. United States troops are able to view messages from their hometown at any USO service center. Several Norcross residents have already posted messages including:

"I'm enjoying a day of thanksgiving that is made possible by the commitment you made to serve and protect this nation. My prayer is for your safety and to know we stand with you. God Bless!!!!" from Lane on Nov. 24

According to a USO blog post, “Together, we can make sure our Thanks From Everywhere map is covered with heartfelt messages before the holidays begin. We’ll let the troops know that while they’re out on the front lines fighting for us, the entire country is standing with them.”
