Peachtree Corners Presbyterian Welcomes New Minister

Dr. John Cook has been named the church's new senior minister. He will be preaching on Easter Sunday.

The congregation of (ARP) welcomes Dr. John Cook as its new Senior Minister. Dr. Cook will be preaching at the 11:00 a.m. worship service on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012.  The community is invited to attend.

For the past eight years, Dr. Cook served as pastor of Thomson ARP church in Thomson, GA. He has been a minister in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian church since 1983. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern Bible College, his Master’s degree from Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia, and his Doctorate from Erskine Theological Seminary. He currently serves as chairman of the Minister and His Work Committee for the Second Presbytery of the ARP as well as the Assistant Clerk for the Synod.

Dr. Cook and his wife Nancy will celebrate their 32nd wedding anniversary this June. They have four adult children and four grandchildren and are expecting their fifth grandchild this May. Dr. Cook’s interests include music, fishing and hunting, reading, and riding his motorcycle.

Peachtree Corners Presbyterian recently celebrated 175 years as a congregation of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian church. The church moved to its current location at the intersection of Spalding Drive and Peachtree Corners Circle in 2001. In the fall of 2011, the church began hosting a Mother’s Morning Out and Preschool Program.
