Elizabeth is one of those “shining jewels” that Bron Gayna, our principal at Simpson Elementary School, is often talking about. She is a young girl that teachers and classmates love to have in their classrooms; a student who is very focused on both education and also on others. She is kind and considerate to everyone she meets. In class, Elizabeth strives to help others and is very patient. Earlier this year, her homeroom classmates showed their appreciation by electing her our class student council representative. While serving as a member of student council, her fellow group members voted her vice president.
She is an excellent student and puts forth her best effort each and every day. She is a quiet girl, but one who speaks up when desiring an answer to a question she has. She is serious and straight forward, always wanting to do the best she possibly can.

Elizabeth is a wonderful listener. When many around her want to talk about what is going on in their lives, she lends a friendly ear and offers an encouraging word. She pays attention to detail, whether it pertains to a lesson on simple machines or a story about a softball game shared by another classmate.
In her spare time, outside of school, Elizabeth enjoys tumbling, sewing, and softball. Each of these activities shows her creative side. With them she is able to relax a bit and truly get to know others and spend time with them. The competition and teamwork of softball and tumbling help her focus on exercise.
Elizabeth is truly Simpson’s diamond in the rough!
