Supporters Tee It Up For Fowler YMCA

Earlier this month, the Peachtree Corners YMCA participated in metro Atlanta YMCAs 2nd annual golf tournament, the largest non-profit golf event in the metro area.

On October 8-9 the YMCA family was doing two of the things they love: playing golf and helping the supporting the Y in delivering programs that help teens become cause-driven leaders.

The Metro Atlanta Association was hosting their 2nd Annual Golf Tournament, this event is the largest non-profit golf event in Atlanta! A big thanks to the four Canongate Golf Clubs that allowed the YMCA to play a great game of golf for a great cause.

The Robert. D. Fowler participated on October 8 at the Windemere Course in Cumming. Some of the Fowler YMCA players were Mark Thornell, Executive Director, Jim Blum, Y Board Member, Lisa Brasher, Community Programs Director, and Michael LaBarre, Aquatics Director (and rumor has it that they had one of the highest scores).

This event was also supported by YMCA staff volunteers: Kathi Jones, Diana Lembo, and Odette Talbert.

The golf tournament was a huge success thanks to the YMCA's supporters. When you put over 100 golfers, 50 staff volunteers, a bag full of Y goodies, and a couple of meals all together then you are headed for success!

The Y thanks everyone that supported and is excited to be able to continue to strengthen the foundations of the community!
