Tender-Hearted Dog Looking for a Home

Hazel is available for adoption from Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.

Meet Hazel, a little Lab-Hound mix who is around 10 months old. Currently, she weighs around 30 pounds and should get much bigger than she is now.

Hazel is spayed, microchipped, vetted, up-to-date on all her shots and is ready to find her new home and family. Hazel came to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue as a stray who was found and taken to Animal Control in Gwinnett County.

She is a sweet, shy, loving little girl who is completely crate-trained and can sleep in her crate at night. She is close to being fully house-trained and will potty outside when taken. Hazel loves other dogs, kids and people.

Hazel's foster does not have cats so it is not known about her temperment around them. She loves her rubber Kong toy filled with peanut butter as well as chewing on antler bones.

She also loves to play fetch with her tennis ball and will bring it back to you so you can throw it again and again. She very much enjoys playing tug-o-war with her foster sister, and equally enjoys long walks in the woods with her foster mom.

It's easy to see that sweet Hazel just simply loves life and is very thankful her life was saved. Hazel is very inquisitive and doesn't seem to afraid of anything or anyone. The ideal home for little Hazel would be an active and energetic family, a fenced-in backyard with a secure gate where she could play, run, and chase her tennis ball with her new family. It would be terrific if there were another dog in the family she could play with and be buddies with.

Since she is still very young, she also needs a family who would be willing to put in the training time and attend puppy training classes with her. The ideal owner for little Hazel would be someone who is either able to come home during the day, work from home, or maybe a retired active couple as she is still in her puppy stage and needs that loving presence more often than an older pet would need.
