Young Daschund-Yorkie Mix Needs a Home

Meet little Cilla, a Daschund-Yorkie mix girl who is around 1 year of age and weighs approximately 8 pounds. And every pound is full of love and affection. 

Even though Cilla is small, her heart is as big as the sky and full of love and hope for a family and home of her own. Cilla is spayed, 98 percent house trained (100 percent if taken out periodically), microchipped and up-to-date on all vetting and shots. 

She is also crate-trained. She easily goes into her crate when offered a treat. Cilla came to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue through a rural animal control shelter, a little stray girl alone, facing death, but still put her best paw forward, greeting everyone who came her way, and begging them to rescue her. 

Angels Among Us Pet Rescue saw the potential in this precious dog, saved her, and made her an Angel baby. Cilla loves and plays well with all dogs, ignores cats, has zero aggression issues and simply adores children.  

Cilla greets everyone she meets with enthusiasm, as though they were already her best friend. Cilla also loves her chew toys, treats and playing chase with either doggies or humans. 

One of the things she loves best is riding in the car in her foster mom's lap and looking out the window. She knows basic commands like "sit," "down," "stay" and "come" and will also sit nicely and patiently waiting for her food. 

She also has a curious nature and loves to check things out for herself, so it is best not to leave her alone, on her own, for very long periods of time. 

At only 1 year old, Cilla has lots of energy to run and play but will easily settle down for a nice, long nap after playtime is over. The ideal home for Cilla would have an active family with children old enough to run and play and snuggle with her, and a fenced-in backyard with a secure gate so she could run and play to her heart's content. 

Most of all, she needs the heart of someone who will see what a real treasure she really is: a beautful young dog who's begging for a home and family of her own. She's anxious to give her love, her heart and her loyalty to the right family - could that be YOU?
