Young Pekingese Ready for Adoption

Meet Chung, who answers to Oscar!

Chung is a male Pekingese, approximately 3-4 years old, who weighs in at 17 pounds of pure love and affection! He's like most of his breed and wants to be the center of his human's world and be spoiled and loved.

This young dog was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Georgia and was a victim of physical abuse in his former life before coming into the Angels Among Us organization. 

When they found him, he had terribly matted fur and was literally afraid of everyone!  Now, he is a healthy, happy dog looking for a home and family to call his very own for Christmas! 

He had a pretty rough start in life but has learned to trust humans again and now wants to show that he can love again, with the right family and home that will provide Chung a quiet, calm place to live.  

Chung is good with small, nonaggressive, dogs and cats but due to his breed, would do best as the only animal in the family. He prefers women and will bond with his human very quickly. 

And he is a talker! He sounds like a meanie at times, but it's only his way of "talking" to his humans. Not to worry, Chung will tell you if he is scared or upset, and he'll also alert you to strangers coming to the home.  

He loves to lounge on the couch at your side, watching TV, or laying at your feet as you work or read.  He loves belly rubs, walks with you, and playing with his squeaky toys! 

He's also very much enjoys rides in the car with you. French fries and treats are at the top of his "LOVE" list, as well. He would very much love to have an owner who is home a lot, or takes him with them often. 

He's the perfect little companion to go with you where ever you go. He's happiest when he's with you - wherever that might be! The ideal home for Chung/Oscar would be one with no small children who would be loud and/or aggressive and make this little boy scared or jumpy. 

He needs a calm, stable home with a female primary caregiver. He does well with guests in the home but loves his one-on-one time with his owner/humans.  Chung is a total love bug and will not disappoint.

He is neutered, house-trained, crate-trained and will sleep in his crate at night quietly as long as he can see you, is micro chipped and up-to-date on all his shots and vetting.
