Get Up, Get Out, Enjoy the Weekend

Fall is here, that means festivals, high school football and a whole lot more to enjoy for Peachtree Corners and Berkeley Lake residents, check out our list of activities.

I could say something about how the leaves are changing or how pumpkin-spiced coffee doesn't really taste like pumpkin or how these things should make you want to get out of the house. But I won't, because you already know that and I'd hate to be condescending. (That means to talk down to people.) So just get out and have fun.

Over 350 arts, crafts and food tents will turn downtown Duluth into a mosaic of celebration this weekend. In addition, parades, music, dancing, a 5K road race and carnival assure that your entire family will have a blast at the Duluth Fall Festival. Probably not with each other, but everyone will have fun. For more information, visit the website here.

This Saturday, Norcross will host their International Food & Music Festival in Lillian Webb Park. Overlooking Buford Highway, the road widely known as Atlanta's home for international cuisine, this festival will kick off at 10:00 a.m. and will feature the region's best multicultural food and song. After three consecutive games on the road the Silverbacks return to Atlanta to take on the Montreal Impact in the season finale. The boys have fought hard this season and will certainly make some moves to get better in the off season. Head out Silverbacks Stadium on Saturday night as the teams fights for three more points.

Last week the market went AWOL but don't fret, your fresh veggies and handmade soaps are back this Saturday and next from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Grab a friend, some coffee and get there early to pick the best of what's available.
