Gwinnett County Fair in Photos

It's that time of year again! The Gwinnett County Fair is in town, and our Patch photographer spent an afternoon capturing all the good old fashioned fun in pictures.

Sunday afternoon the temps were in the 70s and there were, appropriately, cotton candy clouds in a bright blue sky. It was a perfect day to head over to the Gwinnett County Fair.

Walking through the gates is exciting for kids of all ages, as visitors are greeted by the sight of the Ferris Wheel looming above the booths of games, prizes and foods with their colorful flags snapping in the breeze.

Inside the fairgrounds, visitors can hop on a thrilling ride, take a stroll through the barn and see prize-winning animals being shown by local farms and 4H members, watch one of the Miss Gwinnett pageants that have been around since 1955, check out the vendors in the Exhibit Hall or indulge in the cornicopia of delicious fair treats.
