Live Interactive Concert for Kids at Red Clay Theatre

Eddie Owen Presents hosts the concerts by the Songs for Kids Foundation May 9-11.

The Songs for Kids Foundation will present three nights of live interactive concerts at the Red Clay Theatre in Duluth Thursday, Friday and Saturday, May 9, 10, and 11.

The concerts -- full of great songs for children -- start at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Proceeds benefit the foundation.

The non-profit Songs for Kids Foundation, founded in 2007, enriches the lives of children suffering from illness or hardship. The organization brings music to hospitals and special needs camps through concerts, bedside performances, and its Songs for Kids songwriting and recording program.

In 2013, the Songs for Kids tour will travel 25,000 miles and visit more than 180 cities and 200 hospitals across the United States. Visit www.songsforkidsfoundationorg for more information.

Eddie Owen Presents at the Red Clay Theatre continues with its regular Monday night Open Mic Night for singers and songwriters May 13.

The winner receives $100 prize and entry in the second Open Mic Shootout June 1.

Doors open at 7 p.m., and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $5 in advance, $8 at the door. Performing musicians are admitted free.
