Do You Have a Favorite Adam Sandler Movie?

With the Hollywood star is in town, we thought it would be fun to come up with a list of five of his popular movies.

By Scott Bernarde

I don't know how good Adam Sandler's movie "Blended" will be. But chances are it's going to be funny.

So, since the comedy star is in Gwinnett County these days shooting scenes for the movie co-starring Drew Barrymore, I thought I'd list my favorite Sandler films, and hope you share yours in the comment section below.

By the way, parts of the movie are scheduled to be shot on Main Street in Buford Tuesday, July 23

My Top 5 Adam Sandler movies

  1. The Waterboy (1998): References to Bobby Boucher will be heard thousands of times on Gwinnett County high school fields once preseason practice begins on Aug. 1. This one is funny throughout, but the line, "Momma says alligators are so ornery because they go all those teeth and no toothbrush."See the movie trailer here.
  2. Happy Gilmore (1996): It's not "Caddyshack," but Sandler's first major movie after Saturday Night Live pokes fun at golf, which is always a laugh-generator. Sandler's character getting his hind-end kicked by Bob Barker is the highlight. See the movie trailer here.
  3. Bedtime Stories (2008): Sandler and Disney together? Pretty decent hook-up, especially for the kids. Sandler is able to be his funny self, with no uncomfortable questions to Mom and Dad from the young viewers. My kids have seen this flick umpteen times. See the movie trailer here.
  4. Funny People (2009): Not your typical Sandler goof-fest, but the combination of serious laughs with serious situations is well worth your time. Sandler plays a standup comedian (I know, big stretch) who is dealing with life with terminal cancer. I really liked this movie, and even grew to like Sandler's character by the end. See the movie trailer here.
  5. The Wedding Singer (1998): One of Sandler's earliest movies is widely thought of as his best. Think mullets and cheesey '80s music as Sandler plays himself — again. Co-stars Drew Barrymore, who also starred with him in 50 First Dates, which would definitely be No. 6 on my list. See the movie trailer here.
So, what do you think? What's your favorite Adam Sandler flick? Let me know below.
