The Farm Mobile is Coming Wednesday!

The Farm Mobile will be in Peachtree Corners on Wednesday, February 8th! Buy straight-from-the-farm, organic produce, grass-fed beef or eggs from pastured chickens!

I LOVE food! And by that, I mean that I love REAL food....fresh, organic fruits and vegetables, grass fed meats, pasture raised chickens and eggs. Chemicals, additives and hormones? No thank you... I'll pass. My goal each day is to eat nothing from a can or a box.

With the advent of so many local farmer's markets around Atlanta, knowing where your food comes from, and ensuring it's organic and in season, is not just a lofty dream. But, I practically weep each fall when the farmer's markets close in downtown Norcross and Newtown Park.

If you feel the same, I have fantastic news! I have just discovered Riverview Farm's Farm Mobile. What's that? The Farm Mobile is a mobile market on wheels. They park, you shop. Walk inside and select what you'd like from the shelves stocked with fresh, seasonal organic veggies, eggs from Gregg's pastured hens, Storico Fresco Fresh Pasta, H&F Bread Co whole grain buns and loaves, cheese from Sequatchie Cove Farm, deli meats prepared by Heywood Provisions, pasture raised chicken from White Oaks and Riverview's own grits, cornmeal, polenta, grass-fed beef and Berkshire pork. Whatever is in season and they add more items all the time!

You can find the Farm Mobile at multiple locations all over the Atlanta area. Click HERE for a current list. But, the best news is that they now stop right here in Peachtree Corners!! Every other Wednesday from noon until 2:00 pm you can find them in the parking lot of at the corner of Spalding and Peachtree Corners Circle.

I was there last week and bought a cabbage, a bag of beautiful mixed salad greens, rutabagas, collards, bok choy, turnips, kohlrabi, 2 gorgeous grass fed rib eye steaks, some Berkshire Pork sausage, 2 smoked duck legs, a dozen pasture raised hen eggs and a package of sun dried, organic heirloom tomatoes. YUMMMM!!

They put the quick and easy into buying fresh, local organic fruits and vegetables, and when you're a busy mama, that's a huge plus! Their prices are very competitive with Whole Foods and , but the quality and sizes are far superior. They plan to stop here every other Wednesday through April, depending on the response. If enough people stop by, they will come every week and extend the months. So, obviously for very selfish reasons, I'm asking y'all to come out and visit them this Wednesday, February 8th and show them that you love feeding your family fresh vegetables! And they will love you back! Click HERE for a 10% OFF coupon.

Buying local helps our local economy. And, you will also be supporting family owned agriculture. There is a recent revival of family owned farms in America. More and more young men and women are choosing to "move back to the farm" to raise their families where they're focused on sustainability and community building. Three generations live on Riverview Farms. You can meet Charlotte most weeks at the Farm Mobile.

Like their Facebook page and tell them you heard about them here! Visit their website and subscribe to their newsletter! (BTW, they have some wonderful recipes on their website. They also have a CSA program if you are interested.
