A Taste of Italy is Just a Short Drive From Home

Enjoy an Italian treat at Ippolito's Italian Restaurant right in your own neighborhood.

Walk in the door and be greeted by a delicious aroma, a warm atmosphere and a smiling face. Before the betcha-can’t-eat-just-one (and you can’t) garlic rolls get to you, you’ll have to decide whether to pick a booth, table or patio seating. After that you’re on your own with a menu that includes pizzas, calzones, pasta and a variety of main dishes. I try to start thinking about it ahead of time so it won’t take me most of my natural life to make up my mind after I get there.

Homemade is the order of the day when it comes to pizza dough, rolls and at least seven different sauces. Some of the favorite dishes on the menu include the Chicken Francese, Linguine Broccoli and Chicken Parmigiana. Pizzas top the list too and I love the calzones. If you still have room there’s always Tiramisu and Boston Cream Pie. Or, you can eat another roll and take some dessert home for later.

About 20 years ago George and Toni Ippolito opened a small Italian restaurant off of Holcomb Bridge Road. I remember driving over there to enjoy the fresh baked rolls with marinara sauce. That right there was enough for me. As the success came so did multiple locations. Five years ago, with new owners Dan Smith and Frank Genovese, what was the Jones Bridge location moved here to Peachtree Corners for expanded space.

Assistant manager Brandi Pierce said “It’s a great place to work both with the staff and the customers. Most are repeat customers and it’s fun to watch as their kids grow up.” Manager Deborah Peterson says “Ippolito’s really has a hometown feel and we like to keep it that way.”

For large parties Ippolitos has a 30-seat back room as well as a 60-seat covered patio. Call ahead carry out is available as well as catering for both pick up and delivery. All of the menus and other information can be viewed online at www.ippolitos.net.
