It may seem to many Peachtree Corners residents passing by the site of the future Noble Village at Spalding that construction has ground to a halt.

Indeed, when Gary Holding Group, the company that is building the senior living center, first broke ground in November 2012, company spokesman Tony Gary announced the new center would be open by the fall of 2013.

Later the company announced that due to the heavy rains throughout 2013, the opening date had been moved to "mid 2014."

Last week company spokeperson, Tammy McGrady said that construction plans are continuing. She said they expect to install the entrance to the senior living center next month and construction on the main building and cottage apartments will follow in March.

"Things are going well," said McGrady who added that the plans for construction on the homes that will eventually be for sale will begin at a "later date."

McGrady said in March a sales trailer will be installed on the property. In the interim she said anyone interested in seeing a model of the plans and a tour are welcome to stop by their Suwanee location. The Noble Village at Sugarloaf is located at 1220 Satellite Blvd., Suwanee, GA 30024.

Thanks for the Noble Village update and keeping up with this, Judy. In the future I hope the developer will provide better certainty on the construction of the single family residences as these were one of the reasons that the apartments were approved.

I believe they abandoned the property. Can anyone give us more information as to what is going on?
