Corner Bakery Cafe Opens in Peachtree Corners

The new restaurant, located in front of Dick's Sporting Goods on Peachtree Parkway, is open for business.

A new restaurant has opened its doors in Peachtree Corners and they welcome friends and families to make themselves at home. With plenty of booth space, free Wi-Fi and an outdoor dining area complete with fireplace, the is ready for everyone.

Twenty years ago, on a corner in Chicago, the Corner Bakery opened its doors as a commissary for Maggiano’s restaurant. Soon the bakery itself became a crowd pleaser and began serving fresh sandwiches on its popular bread. Now, the business is on its own and doing well.

Regional marketing specialist Barbara Blackwell said, “Corner Bakery is so glad to be a part of the Peachtree Corners community.” She explained that they hope folks will not only come in to eat but feel free to use the space for working as well. They are glad to section off an area of the restaurant if someone needs it for a meeting.

I visited the restaurant at breakfast time and was treated to some good coffee and a made-to-order Anaheim scrambler which was delicious. I also tried some of the creamy grits topped with cheese...yum.

Blackwell said that at lunch the paninis are among the most popular menu items. Also the salads such as the Chopped Salad and the D.C. Chicken Salad are big sellers as well as the Chicken Pesto Sandwich with arugula, served on ciabatta bread. She gave me a gift card so I can go back and try a non-breakfast dish. It’s going to be hard to pick. They even have pasta. I may have to go back more than once!
