Enjoy Great Meals at Great Prices During Conejo Valley Restaurant Week

Five Agoura Hills restaurants will be participating in the first annual Conejo Valley Restaurant Week, beginning May 9th.

Conejo Valley Restaurant Week kicks off next week, May 9-12, and will showcase area restaurants with enticing meals and money saving deals. It is the first time that Conejo Deals has paired up with the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce, which serves Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, and Thousand Oaks, to create such an event.

Over 40 participating Conejo Valley restaurants will feature prix-fixe, three-course dinners for $20, $30, or $40. Restaurants from the greater Conejo Valley region, along with Calabasas, Moorpark, Oak Park, and Newbury Park, are participating, said Wendy Jaffe, co-owner of Conejo Deals.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to experience the best culinary talents in the Conejo Valley,” said Jaffe. “It’s a great way to visit your favorite restaurant or try a new one. And with these great prices you can even treat yourself to four great meals at different restaurants with your family or your friends.”

Five Agoura restaurants are participating–, with a $20 prix fixe menu;and ; H20 Sea Grill, inside the ; The and with $30 prix fixe menus.

“We really wanted to feature a broad spectrum of restaurants, and make sure that our three cities, as well as those surrounding us, were well represented,” said Kelli Lighthizer, Director of Community Relations & Events at the Greater Conejo Chamber of Commerce.

“We really do have some fantastic dining opportunities out here. Whatever kind of food you are looking for can be found in this area,” she said.

According to Lighthizer, it was important to the Chamber and to Conejo Deals, not only to showcase local dining, but to establish a sense of community among area residents. The chamber is also looking ahead to future restaurant events, she said.

“We really want to make this an annual event, and in the future, we might feature other types of entertainment as well,” said Lighthizer.

Cyrena Nouzille, Ladyface co-owner, said her eatery will be featuring their new spring menu. “Because we’re a microbrewery, we’ll also be featuring an add-on to the three-course, $20 meal. We'll have a $5, four-ale Brewer’s Flight with tasters of our most popular ales. And we’ll have a full bar with great local wines and new spring cocktails.”

You do not need to sign up in advance or purchase a special coupon, but reservations are recommended, said Nouzille.

The chamber has established a user-friendly web site for the event. “You can search the site for a restaurant by city, by price or by cuisine,” said Lighthizer.
