Insurance Companies Sue Narconon of Georgia, Move May Affect Patients

Evanston Insurance and Western World Insurance say the company, which has an office in Peachtree Corners, lied to them.

At least two insurance companies working with Narconon of Georgia are claiming that the drug-rehabilitation program lied to them, and lawsuits are pending.

Evanston Insurance and Western World Insurance say the company "lied to them when it took out liability policies," as reported by WSB.

They are trying to cancel insurance police issued through Narconon, but doing so would adversely affect patients with those polices, WSB reports.

Earlier this summer, Patch reported news about a class action lawsuit against the company. Click here to read that coverage.

Editor's note: Narconon has over 120 rehabilitation and drug prevention centers world wide, its headquarters are located in Hollywood, California. According to the company's website, Narconon is supported by the Church of Scientology. More information is available on the company's website.
