Kids Can Jump All Day At New Indoor Playground

Rain or shine, there's a new place in town where Peachtree Corners kids can go to jump and play all day.

Have you ever walked into a place and wished you were 6 years old again? If you haven't, you will when you visit Jump Jump, a new indoor play area for children that recently opened in Peachtree Corners.

Open since December 2012, Jump Jump is a huge indoor playground filled with colorful bouncing inflatables, obstacle courses and a padded floor perfect for running, jumping, somersaults or just rolling around.

It's all the brainchild of Lilia Aquino, a mother of two active little boys who was disappointed with the other indoor play areas that she visited and decided she could do it better.

"I spent six months searching for an area and looked at the needs of the community," said Aquino. The name of the new business was inspired by her oldest child, now 7, who she would take to area indoor play grounds when he was an active 3-year old.

"He would say 'Jump Jump, Mommy' because he couldn't say the name of the place," she explained.

For children, it's got to be the ultimate playground. There's a huge indoor obstacle course with all kinds of twisting tunnels to scamper through and a big undulating slide. And then there's the large inflatables to jump, roll and slide on. Oh, to be a kid again.

Aquini also created a separate play area for toddlers that's full of tunnels to crawl through and a toddler-sized obstacle course.

"I wanted to create an element of happiness," said Aquino of the bright colors that fill the nearly 13,000 square foot area.

The facility also has three private rooms to use for birthday parties. One is large enough to accommodate 25-35 guests and two more for smaller party groups. The party rooms come decorated and ready for a party.

There's plenty of seating for parents scattered throughout the area so they can watch their children play. This is not a drop-off facility.

"The facility is cleaned twice a day and we vacuum and mop every evening," said Aquino. All guests, including adults, are required to remove their shoes and wear socks or stockings when in the play area.

Jump Jump is located at 6315 Spalding Drive next door to Gold's Gym and is open from 10-6 p.m. Monday - Saturday and 11- 6 p.m. on Sundays. Rates are $5 for children 1-2 years old, $9 for children 3-12 years old, under 1 and adults are free.
