Peachtree Corners Restaurant Humming Along at its New Location

Formerly Los Arcos, the popular Mexican eatery has a new name, and a new address, but the good food and service remain the same.

Here in Peachtree Corners folks have been dining at Los Arcos since it opened in 1995. Whenever you went in, the restaurant was busy and it was hard not to run into someone you knew. But then all of a sudden, it was gone. But it hasn’t gone very far away at all.

Just down Spalding Drive at the corner of Spalding and Medlock Bridge you’ll find the former Los Arcos with a new name and a smaller, more intimate space. The new restaurant, , is still owned and run by Kiko Alanis and his wife Olga. They welcome this fresh start in a new space and hope that their familiar customer base will follow them.

Olga Alanis said,”We love being the neighborhood restaurant. We like being a family restaurant and we love our customers. Now we are ready for a little change.”

This new location is easy to find and with an outdoor space that they are planning to add, lots of Peachtree Corners residents will enjoy dropping in.

“It’s not the location it’s the food, service and atmosphere," Alanis added. "We still have families coming from the Jimmy Carter area which was the location of the original restaurant in the 1980s."

While I was there, I not only liked seeing the new digs but I loved tasting the food. The La Botana, a signature dish of shrimp, chicken breasts and steak was delicious. The Alanis’s developed this dish when low carb eating was the way to go. I also had a Kiko’s taco with chunks of beef and pico de gallo which I’ll definitely go back to have again.

The chicken soup was the best that I’ve had in this area. The soup was full of moist and tender white meat chicken and topped with avocado. There is also a new shrimp taco on the menu.

Kiko’s offers many options. You can call ahead to order. If you’re planning a get-together, they are happy to deliver the food to your location. Stop by some time soon and meet your neighbors at Peachtree Corners original Mexican restaurant.

evidently just another low-information group. what they need to be focusing on is this: Did youRead More know that in all of the shootings, that the shooters were on one or more of these drugs? This touches one of the problems with a Fri pick up schedule. Folks who take weekend trips areRead More caught with either leaving the cans out or missing out by not putting their trash out. Since homeowners have zero choices under our government mandated trash plan to pay in advance for service without the ability to change carriers with different pick up dates, leaving the cans out is the results. IF the new city can change our pickup day to Mon or Tue this problem would be stopped or reduced

This is one of those "government mandated" services that actually are worth while. ImagineRead More 5 different garbage collectors going around PC every week stopping at every 5th home. But perhaps the city will attempt to get earlier in the week service for us. My household has good relations with our neighbors and they are more than happy to do the chore for us, as we they.

It's my understanding that a Monday or Tuesday pickup day is one of the stipulations in the RFP theRead More city sent out. You can review the RFP on the city's website.
