Business Meeting Was Full of Strikes, Spares and ... Gifts

Peachtree Corners Business Association members and guests enjoyed an evening of bowling at the newly remodeled Brunswick's Lanes.

It was a night to mix, mingle - and bowl at the Peachtree Corners Business Association's recent event.

On Tuesday, Sept. 10, over 85 members and guests enjoyed an evening at the newly remodeled Brunswick's Lanes in Peachtree Corners.

It was all in fun along with some friendly rivalry among members. But the evening was more than just about strikes, splits and gutter balls, it was about giving back.


“The PCBA created an Outreach Committee in 2013 to coordinate contributions to the community," explained Pat Kaemmerling, who chairs the PCBA committee.

"These contributions will represent 25 percent of all membership dues paid to the organization. PCBA hopes to continue with this program for many years to come. As our membership grows, so does our ability to give back to our community.”

And on Tuesday night the PCBA presented two checks as part of its commitment to giving back to the community. The recipients of the checks were:

Meals on Wheels was presented a check for $625.00 by Jeff Thomas. Susan Miller accepted the donation for the organization. Also present from Meals on Wheels were Marla Ganin and Nicki Grass.

Norcross Cooperative Ministry was presented a check for $625.00 by Sally Falkowski, Minda Puckett accepted the donation for the organization.

In addition to the above contributions, this year the PCBA has also donated:

  • $1,000 to the Norcross High School Football Program, 
  • $1,200 to the Friends of the Library for the Peachtree Corners Library, 
  • Created a $1,000 scholarship for a senior from Norcross High School 
  • Provided breakfast for three shifts of the Peachtree Corners Fire Station No. 4 on 09/11.
