Peachtree Corners Rotary Club News Update

A recent meeting was held at the Robert D. Fowler YMCA in Peachtree Corners.

Last week’s Peachtree Corners Rotary meeting was held at the .  We appreciate Deb Sutton, YMCA director, for hoisting the meeting.  The YMCA is always a dynamic and active place where everyone is welcome and everyone is family. 

Lunch was provided by , who is one of the sponsors for our Student of the Month Program this year.

Judy Putnam - Guest speaker

Judy Putnam was the guest speaker at the .  A Rotary tradition is to have members to talk about themselves as a way to better know each other.

Judy grew up in south Florida and move to the Atlanta area when her husband was transferred here over 25 years ago. Judy joined Patch in November 2010 with over a decade of writing and editing experience working most recently as editor and writer for a nationally distributed relocation magazine. Her background includes editing, writing and providing photography for several local golf publications where she covered both professional and amateur events throughout the state and contributing stories to the AJC as a freelancer while attending Georgia State University where she earned her degree in journalism. Judy has written on a wide variety of topics, but her real love is covering community journalism.

She has lived in Duluth for over 25 years with her husband and two sons. When she's not reporting, you can find her out chasing a little white ball around the area golf courses.

Her energetic and vivacious personality with be a great asset to the club.
