Saying "It's the right thing to do," CVS Caremark CEO Larry Merlo announced the pharmacy chain will discontinue sales of tobacco products at its 7,600 locations on Oct. 1.

The change, which is expected to cost the chain $2 billion in sales,will impact three sites in the Peachtree Corners area, according the store locator on the company's website:
