An Early Look at Black Friday Deals

Peachtree Corners shoppers - get ready to hit the stores for the annual Christmas shopping rush.

We know, you haven't even put the Thanksgiving turkey in the oven yet and we're already talking Christmas. But ever since 1941 when Franklin D. Roosevelt proclaimed the fourth Thursday in November to be our national holiday for all things turkey, the next day has turned into a shopping bonanza for those eager to get a jump start on the Christmas buying season.

With just three days away, we thought we'd pass along some deals we discovered around town.

The local (former Limited Too) store is accepting Coupon Mountain coupons. Look for their online coupon code for 40% off (valid through the holiday season).

Are you a shopper? Coupon Mountain has printable coupons for clothing, toys and other items. Be on the lookout for $7 to $70 code (good for online purchases only) that is good up until Christmas Eve. The store opens at midnight for Black Friday shoppers.

has a 20% Friday early bird deal for its Belk Rewards Card holders. And we mean early, serious shoppers should plan on arriving at 3 a.m. (yes you read it correctly). This special ends at 1 p.m. You can "text & save" too, Send a text DM4311 to belk1 (23351) and receive a 20% off coupon on your cellphone.

has deals on select appliances. Save from $800 to $1,000 on select refrigerators, washer and dryer pairs, etc.

has a discount day countdown now through Nov. 28. The store is offering 30-50% discount on a different category each day. The discount is only good for that day.

is offering a huge discount - up to 70% off of everything in the store. The sales ends Nov. 27.

shoppers should plan on setting their alarms early Friday morning - the store opens at 5 a.m. and has deals on treadmills and elliptical ($100 off the Livestrong brand). Hunters can find deals on everything from fishing reels to guns and boots. Lots of brand name warm-weather outerwear.

We know we've just scratched the surface. If you've got some bargains to pass along to your friends and neighbors please drop a note below in the comment box to share.

A easy and wonderful way to save money is by using Printapons. Printapons are online coupons that are dispersed based on your city. Each coupon saves at least 50% off the regular price of an item in your city.

This touches one of the problems with a Fri pick up schedule. Folks who take weekend trips areRead More caught with either leaving the cans out or missing out by not putting their trash out. Since homeowners have zero choices under our government mandated trash plan to pay in advance for service without the ability to change carriers with different pick up dates, leaving the cans out is the results. IF the new city can change our pickup day to Mon or Tue this problem would be stopped or reduced

This is one of those "government mandated" services that actually are worth while. ImagineRead More 5 different garbage collectors going around PC every week stopping at every 5th home. But perhaps the city will attempt to get earlier in the week service for us. My household has good relations with our neighbors and they are more than happy to do the chore for us, as we they.

It's my understanding that a Monday or Tuesday pickup day is one of the stipulations in the RFP theRead More city sent out. You can review the RFP on the city's website.
