Cheese Toast Christmas Stars

“Oh star of wonder, star of night,

Star with royal beauty bright,

Westward leading, still proceeding,

Guide us to thy perfect light.”

-From “We Three Kings of Orient Are” Christmas Carol by John Henry Hopkins, Jr.

The Christmas Star, or Star of Bethlehem is an important Christmas icon. It comes from the biblical nativity story in which 3 wise men, or “magi,” followed the exceptionally bright star to Bethlehem bearing gifts for the newly born savior, Jesus.

Savor the flavors of gouda and honey-Dijon in our Christmas Stars. They make a great holiday snack, party appetizer, or food tray for classroom holiday parties. On extra busy days, pair them with a crisp green salad for a 5-minute meal.

Take a look at our 2012 12 Days of Christmas series as we roll out a new picture each day. And check out our smart cookbooks for people on the go. Priced below $8 they make wonderful virtual stocking stuffers and gifts for people who love delicious food that’s quick and easy to make. Remember, ebooks can be sent to anyone with an email address!

Stop in tomorrow to see what we’re doing on the 3rd Day of Christmas.
