Writing is hard work. More often than not, writers stew and fret, tense about how to word the next scene, worry about not having inspiration, twist their necks, scrunch their shoulders, strain their eyes.
None of this is good for the body. And creativity flows much better with relaxation. So befriend a writer and offer the gift of massage. There is something heavenly about gentle fingers prodding and rubbing, releasing tension with smooth strokes, sinking deeper and deeper into the soft table.
Massage is not only relaxing but therapeutic. It improves circulation, increases joint flexibility, enhances the immune system and stretches tight muscles. The more massage, the healthier the body.

Be a friend. Befriend the writers you know with massage. Or a day at the spa. Or a manicure/pedicure. Something that allows them to just let go. They’ll be amazed how refreshed they feel.
Happy Holidays!
