1. Needed, new electric portable heaters (UL tested): For the third straight year Gwinnett County Senior Services is collecting heaters for Project AWARE (Added Warmth Assistance for Residents of our Elderly). Drop off donated brand new electric heaters now through Feb. 28, 2012 at any . The heaters will be collected from the stations and personally delivered to seniors in need. 2. Christmas Trees On Sale: The 14th Annual Christmas Tree Sale sponsored by the Dugout Club runs through Saturday, Dec. 17. All sales supports Norcross High School Baseball. The Dugout Club tree sale is located at the corner of Spalding Drive and Highway 141 in the Los Arcos parking lot. Monday thru Friday, 5 to 9:30 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, 11 to 7:30 p.m. Click on the website's link (www.norcrossbluedevils.org) print the coupon and bring it in to receive $5 off of your tree purchase.

3. Santaland Diaries Now Playing: Billed as a show "for adult elves only," at the in Norcross. Shows run this weekend, Dec 9, 10 and 11. Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, 2 p.m. Cost, $15 adults, $12 students and seniors, $10 groups of 10 or more. Click here for reservations.

4. White Christmas Musical Playing: The Red Clay Theatre in downtown Duluth is presenting Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” Dec. 8-10. The Musical is based on the beloved 1954 Paramount Pictures movie. Performance times for “White Christmas” are 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8; 2 and 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9; and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. Tickets are available online Cost: $10 for adults and $8 for children. Discount tickets for groups of 10 or more are $8 each.

5. Speaking of a white Christmas, it's too far out to predict the weather for Christmas day, but this week looks like it could be a rainy one. The seven-day forcast calls for a chance of rain now through Wednesday then clear skys through Friday.
