Local Food Plant Recalls Sandwiches Sold at RaceTrac

Fying Food Group, Inc. announced on Saturday that it was pulling sandwiches it distributed to the stations in Georgia due to the possible contamination of Listeria monocytogenes.

According to the Associated Press, the Chicago-based company said the deadly bacterial may be in items produced by its Lawrenceville plant. The company said there have been no reports of illness in connection with the recall and has suspended production at its Lawrenceville facility pending an investigation.

Included in the recall is the company's Chicken Quarter Pounder, the Chicken Quarter Pounder with Tomatoes, the Ham Quarter Pounder, the Ham Quarter Pounder with Tomatoes and the American Sub.

This is the second recall this year. In July the company pulled approximately 204 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken wraps and plates from located in Georgia and Alabama.
