Metro Area Among Top 10 on Worst-Dressed List

A reader poll in Travel + Leisure magazine shows Atlanta residents as 7th least-stylish in the country.

The national magazine, Travel + Leisure, has ranked the Atlanta metro area in the top 10 on their worst dressed list.

According to a report in the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the reader's polled must have a poor impression of Atlanta fashion. A quote in the magazine implies that the poll was based on the TV show, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta."

"If the flashy reality-TV stars of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' are at all indicative of how the rest of Atlanta dresses, it's no wonder our readers ranked it as America's No. 7 least-stylish city. Hotlanta has one of the highest per capita incomes of any southern city, but as the TV show illustrates and the saying goes: money can't buy taste."

The question is, did the magazine truly judge fashion in Atlanta solely on the TV show?

The magazine ranked Anchorage as the No. 1 worst-dressed area, but forgave the U.S.'s most northern state because of its harsh winter weather saying "men wear beards and flannel to keep frostbite at bay."
