Patch Picks: Places Around Town to Enjoy Super Bowl Sunday

Peachtree Corners and Berkeley Lake residents have some great places to watch the Super Bowl right in their backyards.

Beginning today, we'll be running a new Thursday feature called Patch Picks in which we'll be highlighting editor and reader picks of great local businesses, destinations, services, organizations, ways to spend a day off, and more.

You'll find useful lists to help you, your family, friends and significant others find the best places for everything from Sunday brunch to St. Patrick's Day celebrations, date-night destinations, kids party places, parks and more.

Since the big event this week is the Super Bowl, we've compiled a list of our top five places where you can go to cheer on your team:

With special deals running for game day, like 50-cent wings, $12 buckets of domestic beers and $12 pitchers, this is a solid local choice. If you drink two Terrapin beers, you also get to keep the glass.

In the former 3 Dollar Café, this new, spacious sports bar has a ton of drink specials and reasonable number of craft beers on draft. Not many people know about it yet, so may just have a chance of having some elbow room during the game.

If you are looking for a camaraderie and atmosphere, Mazzy’s is a good local choice. The staff says they expect to be packed, so expect lots of company.

This newish place is somewhere between Hooter’s and an Irish pub. They’re bringing out the specials for the Super Bowl, including a $5 pound of wings, $5 drinks like mimosas and bloody marys and $12 beer buckets.

For the feel of a bunch of friends in the living room, without having to actually have anyone over, hit up the Racquet Club’s shindig. They’ll have a $9 burger-beer-fries combo, as well as a $5 pitcher. Reservations required.
