Public Hearing on City Budget Set for Tuesday

The Peachtree Corners City Council has proposed reducing the millage rate to zero.

The Peachtree Corners City Council has scheduled a meeting for 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 17 at City Hall.

The meeting includes a public hearing for citizens to address the council on the proposed budget for 2013-2014. The upcoming budget calls for reducing the millage rate (property tax) from .85 to zero.

City leaders were able to eliminate the millage rate because of revenue previously collected by the county, including franchise fees, business license fees, etc. are now being collected by the city.
