Restaurant Inspections: Grades From 80-B to 94-A

Following is a list of five Peachtree Corners restaurants which have been inspected recently by the Gwinnett County's Board of Health.

The Board inspects area restaurants every six months which are then graded based on an extensive criteria that includes everything from food being stored at proper temperatures to employee hygiene.

Restaurants are required to display these reports in a prominent place for diners to view. This is what we found in a random search of inspections on the county's website.

Occassionally a restaurant receives a "U" (unsatisfactory) rating; when that occurs, the restaurant is re-inspected the next week to give the operators a chance to correct the categories in which they were deficient.

Last week Mambo Italiano, a popular restaurant located at The Forum, received a 64-U rating. State health officials re-inspected the restaurant on Jan. 18 and has upgraded its inspection to an 86-B.
